The Patriots once again started their week with some injury maintenance as Daniel Ekuale was played on the injured reserve on Tuesday. The defensive lineman reportedly suffered a torn biceps muscle in their win vs. the Jets according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
New England also released cornerback William Hooper from their practice squad on Tuedsay. They now have an open spot on their active roster and on their practice squad.
The club hit the field on Wednesday for their first open practice prep of the week prior to their road trip to Dallas. Here’s what stood out:

- Davon Godchaux, who injured his ankle during Sunday's game in New York, was present at Wednesday's practice, leading to perfect attendance.
- According to the Boston Herald's Doug Kyed, the Patriots signed defensive tackle Manny Jones to their practice squad. He was in attendance at practice wearing No. 94
- Bailey Zappe, Malik Cunningham, T.J. Luther, Calvin Munson, Keion White all sported black jersey's at practice, signifying them as practice players of the week.
