The Patriots had to place another cornerback on the injured reserve on Thursday as Marcus Jones, who injured his shoulder during Sunday’s loss to the Jets, was diagnosed with a torn labrum. The second-year defensive back will be out a minimum of four weeks - though it’ll likely be even more.
Friday was the team’s final practice before traveling to New York on Saturday. Here’s everything that stood out from the session:
Attendance:
Absent: None
PUP: S Cody Davis, DE Trey Flowers
IR: WR Tyquan Thornton, OT Riley Reiff, CB Jack Jones, CB Marcus Jones
Other Notes:
- The Patriots signed quarterback Will Grier off of the Bengals practice squad on Thursday. The former Florida Gator and West Virginia Mountaineer was at Friday's sessions sporting #19.
- OL Sidy Sow was back at practice on Friday in a red non-contact jersey. The rookie suffered a concussion in the Patriots' opener vs. the Eagles.
