Pats stats analysis: Mac Jones continues to throw the ball at high rate, certainly not being held back by Josh McDaniels’ game plans. Jones threw the ball 40 times in the rain in Sunday night’s loss to the Bucs, completing 31 of the passes. The rookie QB now ranks third in the NFL in completions and sixth in pass attempts, while notching at impressive 70.0-percent completion rate that ranks No. 7 in the league. … The Patriots defense continues to rank in the top 10 in points allowed, total defense, pass defense and in the red zone. … With eight more catches against Tampa Bay, New England No. 1 receiver Jakobi Meyers has jumped into the top 10 in the NFL in receptions on the season. … Edge defender Matt Judon added another sack to his season total in the loss to the Bucs, keeping him among the most productive pass rushers in the game through a month of action.
