Training camp is just a few short weeks away and to get ready for it, we will be unveiling a 21 questions about the Patriots series relating to the upcoming season. Be sure to check back almost every day to see a new question.
Who could be a surprise cut for Patriots this season?
The Patriots have a very deep 90-man roster, which will create a number of positional battles over the course of the summer. With that being said, it leaves the door open for a surprise cut or two.
N'Keal Harry, Jarrett Stidham, Brandon Bolden could be options, but we're going with third-year cornerback Joejuan Williams.
The 2019 second-round pick hasn't done much over his first two NFL seasons and he's competing with a number of players for playing time in the secondary. The Patriots also brought in Jalen Mills this offseason, who plays a similar style to Williams.
New England has a very deep secondary and there just may not be a spot for Williams at the end of the day. With that being said, he does have some special teams value and it would be a little unusual for Bill Belichick to part ways with such a high draft pick after only two seasons.
