The Patriots will get two of their best players from training camp back Monday against the Chiefs.
According to multiple reports, running back Damien Harris and wide receiver Gunner Olszewski have been activated off injured reserve ahead of Monday's game in Kansas City.
In addition, Sony Michel (quad) and Cody Davis (hip) are going on injured reserve, meaning they are out at least three weeks.
It is likely both Harris and Olszewski will play important roles in the game, especially Harris.
With Michel out of the picture, the Patriots will have Rex Burkhead, James White, J.J. Taylor and Harris at the running back position. Without Cam Newton under center, it's likely the Patriots will run the ball a great deal and it could be the perfect time for Harris to show what he can do.
As for Olszewski, he made a number of plays in training camp and should factor into the passing game behind Julian Edelman and N'Keal Harry. The second-year player could also be used as a returner.
It's tough timing for Michel, who is coming off one of the best games of his career. Davis, a core special teamer, was also injured in the win over the Raiders.
Finally, wide receiver Isaiah Zuber has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for the game for a second straight week.
