The Patriots have major issues with their offensive line for Sunday's game with the Texans.
On top of Trent Brown and Shaq Mason being ruled out Friday, on Saturday neither Isaiah Wynn and Michael Onwenu came off the COVID list, which means they too will not play Sunday.
David Andrews is the only starting offensive lineman left.
In addition, Brown has been placed on injured reserve, which means he has to miss at least the next three games. He hasn't played since Week 1 and Saturday's move indicates he had a setback with his calf injury.
As for the replacements, offensive linemen James Ferentz (COVID replacement), Alex Redmond (standard elevation) and Will Sherman (standard elevation) have been added to the roster. Cornerback Myles Bryant was also added as a COVID replacement.
The offensive line figures to have Justin Herron (one of the tackles) and Ted Karras (either guard) start with Andrews, and then two of Yodny Cajuste, Yasir Durant, Ferentz or Redmond filling out the rest of the line.
No matter what the starting unit looks like, it's not ideal.
