Current ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick is reportedly interviewing for the open GM jobs with the Texans and Lions.
Why does this matter? Because it could be where Josh McDaniels ends up if he leaves New England.
“I would keep an eye on wherever he lands relative to where Josh McDaniels may go,” NBC Sports Boston’s Tom E. Curran said on Dale & Keefe Wednesday. “Because if I’m not mistaken, … he and McDaniels [were rumored to go to San Fransisco together a few years ago]. We’ll see.”
As for Houston specifically, Curran could see it.
“If Jack Easterby is despite all [that’s been said] publicly still puppet-mastering the whole thing, which I have been told he may still be doing, McDaniels could be the guy,” he said.
McDaniels' name comes up seemingly every year for vacant head-coaching jobs, but yet he continues to remain in New England.
We'll see if that changes this year.
