Ten weeks of 2023 NFL action are in the books and clear statistical trends have taken hold across the league. As such, WEEI.com will check in each week through the remainder of the season to see how the Patriots (2-8) are doing statistically in a variety of areas, both on a team level and as individuals.
Pats’ stats analysis: Thanks to going 0-for-4 in the red zone in the loss to the Colts in Germany, New England’s red zone offense’s ranking took a major hit dropping from 4th in the NFL to 14th in one week. … One of the bright spots in the international loss to Indy was the rushing attack that churned out a season-high 167 yards, with Rhamondre Stevenson topping 80 yards on the ground for the second straight week. With those efforts, Stevenson has jumped up to 20th in the league in rushing. … Mac Jones’ hideous interception at the goal line in Germany was his 10th of the season, behind only Buffalo’s Josh Allen for most in the NFL. … Bryce Baringer had another impressive day booming the ball against the Colts, the rookie now consistently moving up the NFL punting rankings each week to where he’s 15th in gross average and 17th in net average. … After holding Jonathan Taylor and the Colts in check, New England has a top-10 rush defense, one of the stronger areas on the team.
