Robert Kraft made it clear after Tom Brady's (second) retirement that he wanted to honor the legendary Patriots quarterback at Gillette Stadium.

As it turns out, he's not wasting any time in doing so. Kraft announced Thursday on NFL Network's Good Morning Football that Brady will be honored at New England's 2023 home opener.

"The greatest player in the history of the game played right here in Foxboro, and I'm happy to tell you…I invited him back to come here and be with us at the opening game and let the fans in New England thank him for the great service he gave us for over 20 years," Kraft said. "It will be the beginning of many celebrations to honor Tom Brady and say thank you for what he did for us those 20 years playing for the New England Patriots."

The date, opponent and time for that game will be announced Thursday night when the full NFL schedule is released, but there are already reports that it will be against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1.
