6 rings: Week 2 Preview: Patriots vs. Dolphins

The Patriots, dealing with an abundance of injuries along their offensive line, had yet another important piece of Sunday's gameplan pop up on the injury report on Thursday.

Jonathan Jones, who New England has used to mitigate the disaster that Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill imposes on opposing defenses, was limited at yesterday's practice with an ankle injury.

With bad news comes worse news as Jones was absent from Friday's practice session entirely. Here's what else stood out from the session:

Attendance:

Absent: CB Jonathan Jones, OT Trent Brown, OT Sidy Sow
Exempt: QB Matt Corral
PUP: S Cody Davis, DE Trey Flowers
IR: WR Tyquan Thornton, OT Riley Reiff, CB Jack Jones

Other Notes:

- Wide receiver DeVante Parker was at practice with a sleeve on his left leg. He's nursing a knee injury.

- Tight end Pharoah Brown was wearing a red shell on his helmet. With the entire offense sporting red for throwback week, this may be how they may deem a player 'non-contact'.

- The Patriots warmed up to Kendrick Bourne, who moonlights as a music maker, during Friday's session.
