Who doesn’t love a good man cave? No matter how much pride you take in your beloved football sanctuary, adorned with sports memorabilia, wall-mounted neon beer signs and a fridge full of cold ones, just know it doesn’t hold a candle to Peyton Manning’s. As seen on Monday night’s “Manning Cast” on ESPN2, Manning’s man cave puts all others to shame, including, among other notable features, a vintage car collection that would make Porsche addict Jerry Seinfeld blush.
Manning turned down a monster sum— reportedly somewhere in the range of $18-20-million annually—to man ESPN’s Monday Night booth now inhabited by the likes of Steve Levy, Brian Griese and Louis Riddick. But judging by his elaborate “Manning Cast” setup, which could easily pass for a dealership showroom, the legendary QB seems to be doing just fine on the financial front.

This is a man who is very clearly living his best life. Twitter predictably had plenty to say about Manning’s Taj Mahal of a man cave, trying to comprehend the level of wealth it must take to have a full fleet of Corvettes on display, not in the driveway but five feet from your living-room sofa.
What the “Manning Cast” lacks in polish (social media had a field day with Eli butchering John Cena’s name) it more than makes up for in star power, delivering A-list celebrities on a weekly basis. Just look at this murderer’s row of guests from Monday night, headlined by comedian Jon Stewart and Bills megastar Josh Allen.
Peyton and Eli are still relatively green as on-air talents and ESPN’s minimalist production has been an annoyance at times, though it’s clear the Mannings are onto something here as fans, many of them disillusioned by the buttoned-up nature of traditional broadcasts, clamor for more second-screen experiences like the one provided by America’s favorite football family.
