The Las Vegas Raiders have been aggressive so far this offseason under new head coach Josh McDaniels.

On Thursday night the silver and black made a huge splash by acquiring star wide receiver Davante Adams in a trade with the Packers.

But they may not be done there. The Raiders have also been pursuing former Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore in free agency, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Gilmore, the 2019 Defensive Player of the Year, marks at least the second former Patriots defensive standout to be wooed by McDaniels, after the team signed two-time All-Pro defensive end Chandler Jones earlier in the week.

Gilmore, who turns 32 in September, spent the bulk of last season with the Carolina Panthers after he was traded there by the Patriots in October, in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick. He was drafted 10th overall by the Buffalo Bills in 2010.

If nothing else, it appears the Raiders have no interest in a rebuild under McDaniels, and instead are trying to improve their roster in order to compete in what is projected to be a tough AFC West.
