The backfield is Rhamondre Stevenson’s for now. Not because of the way he thrashed the Lions in Week 5, but because the Patriots will be without one of their top offensive weapons for a while.

Damien Harris was forced to leave the Pats’ Week 5 win early after suffering a hamstring injury, which allowed Stevenson to get a heavy workload on the ground vs. Detroit. That hamstring injury is going to sideline Harris further.

While tests are still being done, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is reporting Harris is “likely to miss multiple games.” Unless the Patriots add another running back to the roster, Pierre Strong becomes Stevenson’s backup. J.J. Taylor and Kevin Harris are also on the team’s practice squad.
