David Andrews' return from one injury didn't last long, and now the Patriots captain is set to miss a lot more time following another one.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Andrews is feared to have suffered a serious thigh injury that could end his season.
Andrews left Sunday's 10-3 win over the New York Jets in the first quarter after getting hit in the thigh while blocking. He needed help getting off the field and into the locker room and did not return to the game.
Andrews missed the Patriots' last two games before the bye due to a concussion suffered in Week 7 against the Bears. His return figured to help a struggling New England offensive line, but unfortunately that won't be the case now.
The Patriots' offensive line struggled throughout Sunday's game once again, contributing to six Jets sacks. Isaiah Wynn, who started the game at left tackle, also left with a foot injury and did not return.
James Ferentz has filled in for Andrews at center and is expected to be the guy there going forward now.
Needless to say, the pressing task of fixing the offensive line just got a lot harder for Bill Belichick, Matt Patricia and company.
