In news that isn't surprising but is still a major blow to the Patriots, running back James White is expected to miss the remainder of the season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Field Yates.
White was carted off the field after suffering the injury, reportedly a hip subluxation, during Sunday's loss to the Saints.
White was off to a strong start this season, recording at least six receptions and 10 total touches in each of the Patriots' first two games. He also had a touchdown in the Week 2 win over the Jets.
The Patriots are left with Damien Harris, Brandon Bolden, JJ Taylor and Rhamondre Stevenson as running back options. They have also worked out several running backs this week, so it's possible they could bring someone else in as well.
