The Patriots are scheduled to host the Broncos Sunday afternoon at 4:25 pm at Gillette Stadium.

According to ESPN, that game is “in jeopardy” at this point after New England cornerback Stephon Gilmore reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus.

For what it’s worth, after this Sunday’s scheduled Week 5 game against Denver, New England is set to have its bye in Week 6.

Gilmore’s positive test comes after star quarterback Cam Newton and practice squad defensive lineman Bill Murray were previously placed on New England’s COVID-19 reserve list.

Gilmore, who was reportedly in close contact with Newton late last week, traveled with the Patriots on Monday to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs and played all 56 defensive snaps in that game.

New England was scheduled to practice on Wednesday in preparation for the Denver game, but after Gilmore’s positive test that is no longer going to happen.

Bill Belichick had been scheduled to hold a video call with local reporters at 8:30 this morning, but that call has been rescheduled for an unspecified later time.

Despite ESPN’s report, a report of out Denver indicated that the Broncos game with the Patriots has not yet been postponed or rescheduled by the NFL.
