Rex Ryan talked a big game leading into the Jets’ matchup Sunday against the Patriots at MetLife Stadium.

Now the ex-Jets coach is eating crow.

Heading into kick-off, Ryan dismissed the Patriots as a “JV Team” and said the Gang Green would “just stomp them.” That obviously didn’t happen. The Patriots defeated the Jets 22-17, largely thanks to Zach Wilson’s three-interception performance.

On Ryan’s first hit Monday on ESPN’s “Keyshawn, JWill and Max,” he joked about Grey Goose vodka sponsoring his segment. “Good morning. I could’ve used some Grey Goose after watching that Jets-Patriots game yesterday,” he said, via Boston.com.

Later in the morning on “Get Up!,” Ryan lamented the Jets’ 13th straight loss to New England.

“Oh my gosh, the Jets against the Patriots. We lose again,” he said.

Ryan’s commentary wasn’t all negative, however. He said Jets fans should be pleased about their team being 5-3 heading into the bye week, and blamed New York’s loss on Michael Carter II’s pick-six being nullified. Jets defensive end John Franklin-Myers was flagged for roughing the passer, and the touchdown was negated.

That would’ve made it 17-3 Jets heading into halftime. Instead, the Patriots kicked a field goal and cut the gap to 10-6.

“Look at this, we get a pick six,” said Ryan. “Hey Mac Jones, you’re horrible, my friend, on that play right there. That’s all we’d be talking about. Instead, we got this stupid [roughing the passer penalty], and now our quarterback played stupid on this [play]. Three interceptions. Zach Wilson, you’re young but come on. The best play is to throw the thing away, but unfortunately we lose again for the 13th time in a row to New England.”

At times, it seemed as if both Jones and Wilson were trying to give the game away. In the end, Wilson succeeded.

The Patriots will host the Jets Nov. 20 at Gillette Stadium.
