Everyone has discussed Tom Brady returning to Gillette Stadium in Week 4 to face his former team, but what about Rob Gronkowski?
The Tampa Bay tight end will play his first game back in New England since coming out of retirement and then being traded to the Bucs.
“Oh yeah, that’s going to be crazy. It’s going to be pretty epic,” he said in an interview with Buccaneers.com. “I mean, it’s definitely going to be emotional, for sure, I would say.”
Gronkowski added: “I just had a great nine years, probably the best nine years of my life. It was the beginning of basically my whole football career there. So it’s definitely going to be heartfelt when I go back.”
The game is set for Oct. 3 on Sunday Night Football.
