Robert Kraft expressed his unhappiness about the Patriots' performance in an email to season ticket holders

Last March, Robert Kraft told reporters it bothered him the Patriots haven’t won a playoff game in three years.

Now it’s going to be four.

The Patriots were eliminated from the playoffs Sunday after dropping their regular-season finale to the Bills, 35-23. On Monday morning, Robert and Jonathan Kraft sent an email to season ticket holders expressing their disappointment with how the season unfolded, and pledging to improve over the offseason.

“We can assure you that no one in our organization is satisfied with the results from this past season. In the weeks ahead, we will be making critical evaluations of all elements of our football operation as we strive to improve and return to the playoffs next year,” they wrote.

Belichick spouted a similar message when he met with the media Monday, saying “nobody” is satisfied with an 8-9 finish. He added he’ll further evaluate the team’s performance in his annual year-end meeting with Kraft.

Last week, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported that Kraft is unhappy with the state of the offensive coaching staff, and could force Belichick to make changes. Notably, Belichick didn’t guarantee that Matt Patricia and Joe Judge would stay in their same positions when asked. He only said the Patriots will “look at everything.”

It promises to be a pivotal offseason in Foxborough, with Belichick not even affirming that Mac Jones will be the Patriots’ starting quarterback next season.

There is an air of dissatisfaction hanging over Patriot Place, and it starts with the owner.
