Rodney Harrison didn't like what he saw from Patriots' front seven: 'I was just really stunned'

While the Patriots defense allowed only 17 points and less than 200 yards passing against Miami on Sunday, the unit wasn't satisfied.

Safety Adrian Phillips called it a wake-up call when speaking Wednesday and former Patriots safety and current NBC analyst Rodney Harrison went after the unit in a NBC Sports video.

“I look at their defensive front seven — which is supposed to be stout, which is really supposed to be the strength of their team — and it was average,” Harrison said. “It wasn’t very good. I just didn’t see the consistent pressure. I didn’t see them stopping the run. I didn’t see those guys flying around. They looked slow, they didn’t really look energetic.

“This is supposed to be a faster, more athletic defense. I was just really stunned by the Patriots’ front seven.”

The Patriots also only recorded two sacks, which they will look to change Sunday when they take on the Jets.
