Over the weekend, it was reported Matthew Stafford did not want to play for the Patriots.
While the situations are different, free agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick indicated he would be willing to come to New England.
Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show Tuesday, the veteran was asked if he's like Stafford with his feelings relating to the Patriots?
“I love Matt Stafford. I don’t know him real well as a guy, but as a player, watching him, I am really excited to see what happens to him as a player on the Rams," he said. "But no. For me, I can’t be as picky as Matt Stafford.”
Fitzpatrick, who has started for eight teams during his 16-season career, the most of any NFL quarterback, isn't really stressing out over his situation.
“That stuff doesn’t really happen until March,” he said. "So, what I’ve learned over the years is not to sit and worry about it or put too much time into it until that March date rolls around.”
The Patriots are obviously in the QB market so likely will be checking in with Fitzpatrick at some point.
