Stephon Gilmore has indicated on social media he wants more money and now he's saying it as well.

The Patriots cornerback, who is scheduled to make $7.5 million in 2021, the final year of his contract, believes he's deserving of a raise. The 31-year-old did not attend the voluntary offseason workout program or mandatory minicamp.

"I just want what I'm worth, however that plays out," he said to reporter Josina Anderson. "Every player should be paid what they're worth. That’s just how it is."

Gilmore added: “Hopefully we can find some common ground and get it situated. I just know what I bring to the table and my style of play. Right now I'm just trying to focus on myself and make sure I'm good mentally and physically.”

The cornerback had offseason quad surgery and said he's doing some full speed running. As for being 100% for training camp?

“We’ll see; if I need to be," he said. "But I also don’t want to push it.”

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Thursday the belief is Gilmore and the Patriots will likely sit down prior to training camp later this month.
