Tom Brady published the last episode Monday of his “Let’s Go!” podcast with Jim Gray until August, meaning TB12 will temporarily be without his weekly vehicle to ruminate about whether he actually plans to stay retired.

So naturally, the topic came up at the end of this week’s show. While Brady didn’t close the door on returning, he mentioned he’s at peace — for now.

“I’m super content and happy with how I feel in my decision,” he said. “All you can do is take it day by day, nothing’s promised for us. I’m gonna do things I really enjoy and spend time with people that I really enjoy spending time with. So the future is bright. I look forward to the opportunities that are ahead and I look forward to speaking with everyone again next year.”

Brady announced his retirement Feb. 1 — though it’s worth mentioning his farewell Instagram post doesn’t actually contain the word — and then vacillated about his future less than one week later. He told Gray last week he’s going to “take things as they come.”

Those closest to Brady think he won’t stay away for long. Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski have both said they wouldn’t be surprised if Brady returned to the NFL. Gronk predicted Brady will come back in a “couple of years.”

He’ll have to produce several more docuseries to keep up the melodrama until late-summer.
