Amid the details of Tuesday’s racial discrimination lawsuit from Brian Flores against the NFL included an accusation that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross tried to get Flores to violate the league’s tampering policy.

The suit alleged Ross invited Flores onto his yacht for lunch at the same time a “prominent quarterback” was also “conveniently” arriving in the same marina.

Well, according to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post, that prominent quarterback was none other than Tom Brady.

The lawsuit says this took place in the winter of 2020 — which was right before Tom Brady was set to become a free agent.

The NFL rules state that no club, nor any person employed or affiliated with a club, is permitted to tamper with a player who is under contract by another club.

Because this allegedly happened in the winter of 2020, Brady was still technically under contract with the Patriots at the time.

Flores did not take the meeting, which the suit claims led to the head coach to be treated with disdain by Ross until he was ultimately fired last month.

Ross was also accused of offering $100,000 to Flores for every game he lost in his first season with the Dolphins as a directive to “tank” for a draft pick.

The NFL has called the accusations in the suit “without merit” while the Dolphins also “vehemently deny any allegations of racial discrimination” and added “the implication that we acted in a manner inconsistent with the integrity of the game is incorrect.”
