Tom Brady’s return to Gillette Stadium on Oct. 3 to take on Bill Belichick’s Patriots may already be overhyped.
Expectations are that it could set records in terms of secondary market ticket prices and TV ratings.
It’s certainly going to be a pretty unique week for the Brady, Belichick and New England owner Robert Kraft after last year’s free-agent divorce that saw TB12 take his talents to Tampa Bay and then win his seventh Super Bowl this past winter.
Thursday, in a comment to an NFL Instagram post with a graphic showing Brady’s return to New England for the league’s also-overhyped schedule release, the GOAT made an interesting comparison.
“It’s like when your high school friends meet your college friends,” Brady wrote while adding an emoji.
Certainly seems like this could be a much bigger deal than that, with far more emotion involved. But we have four-plus months for all that to play out.
