What is turning into arguably the most anticipated Patriots game since the last time Tom Brady was here, the GOAT's return to Foxborough this coming Sunday has so much more baked into it than just a Week 1 matchup against the reigning NFC champion Eagles.

Especially because according to former New England cornerback and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ty Law, Gillette Stadium is going to be packed with former Patriots this weekend:

“Everybody’s coming to town,” Law told WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show on Tuesday morning. “A lot of the guys are coming in.”

Greg followed this up by asking Law if he knows anything more about what the team may have planned to honor Brady during Sunday’s season opener versus Philly:

“I’m not hearing too much about anything when it comes to what they’re going to do, what the program is,” Law explained. “I was hoping with all of that construction, I was hoping to see a statue or something, I think that man deserves a statue like the great ones, like the Michael Jordan’s, the Kobe’s, like what they do up in L.A. I really was hoping to see something like that. I’m just throwing it out there, I don’t know. As far as run of show, they’re not telling anyone.”

Said statue, a #12 jersey retirement, and a Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony are all certainly in the works for Brady, but  reports surfacing over the last month that Sunday’s “Thank You, Tom” game is just the beginning of more to come, don’t expect much more than a halftime speech from the GOAT and the potential of a video montage on the new Jumbotron.

Law also spoke about his expectations for the Patriots this upcoming season, Rodney Harrison comparing he and Sauce Gardner’s game, and more on Tuesday’s edition of The Greg Hill Show. Listen to the full interview here.
