Patriots fans clamoring to see their new quarterback in action got their first taste on Tuesday. Granted, it’s the littlest taste. Against air. In a practice. But hey, something is better than nothing.
In a short highlight reel of last weekend’s rookie minicamp in Foxboro, new Patriots QB Mac Jones is seen in action moving, taking snaps and even throwing the football. Granted it’s not a pro day style long pass, rather something of the dink-and-dunk nature. Still, for Foxborough Faithful who are excited to see the rookie under center every glimpse is welcome, even when that glimpse is in a shirt and shorts tossing the ball to the flat, or a coach.
Jones represents the future, and fans can’t wait for it.
Rookie running back Rhamondre Stevenson is also seen taking a handoff in the video. His size is just as impressive as advertised even in a state media highlight video like this, which features the obligatory Bill Belichick observing while twirling his whistle shot at the end.
Classic.
The first OTAs will be May 24-25 with the first media availability May 27.
