The time for talk is over. Well, not really. The super-blabbing, hot-taking, over-analyzing and bold-predicting will continue right up to kickoff of Super Bowl 57 Sunday at 6:30 p.m. EST from Glendale, Arizona. That’s just how it goes with the two week run-up to “The Big Game” and the need to fill thousands of hours across hundreds if not thousands of TV and radio stations, podcasts, blogs and beyond. Remember: no matter who wins, Roger Goodell and the NFL come out on top, again.

But beyond the media-driven cynicism we might actually have a heck of a game here. The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, both 16-3 entering Sunday’s showdown, were their respective conference’s number one seeds. The Eagles, led by second-year coach Nick Sirianni, are a complete team with a fierce defensive front, a powerful rushing attack and a quarterback who can throw and run at an elite level in Jalen Hurts. Meanwhile, Kansas City has the best coach not named Bill Belichick in Andy Reid and the best football player on Earth in QB Patrick Mahomes. Each team is looking for their second title over the last few seasons (Philly the SB 52 winners, KC SB 54). A win for the Eagles establishes a new chapter in a growing football legacy, while a Chiefs title vaults Reid and Mahomes into the top 10 of their respective all-time positions and perhaps kindles some burgeoning dynasty discussion. Relax, Pats fans: Mahomes isn’t anywhere near Brady levels of greatness. Yet.
The Eagles are favored by a point and a half, and the over/under is 51. The game will be played indoors with controlled environs on a natural grass field. All the stars on both sides are healthy or healthy enough to give it a go. Pretty much all the makings for a wild game to end one of the wildest seasons on record. Parties are being arranged. Massive quantities of food and beverage will be consumed (T’s & P’s to your local processing plants Monday). And as fans prepare to select squares, enter pools and make wagers throughout New England and beyond, we felt it only fair to share our picks with you. Perhaps these will validate the way you're leaning or provide strength in numbers for the bets you’re considering. Should it be prop bets you’re into be sure to follow @RichKeefeShow for the 20 prop bet selections the staff made for the week-long “Propapalooza”. With over 2,000 props on the board, from anthem to Gatorade color and beyond, it’s an industry unto itself.
Thus, without further ado, we present the Super Bowl LVII predictions and MVP selections from our loyal and informed-ish on-air staff and beyond at WEEI. If this helps then please, it's our pleasure. If this sways you the wrong direction, call 617-779-7937 Monday starting at 6 a.m. to register your complaints. Lines will be open until 10 p.m.
