Bill Belichick was very happy with his team following the 27-24 win over the Chargers.
Courtesy of Patriots.com, footage from the locker room was shared, which included Belichick handing out game balls to Hunter Henry and Adrian Phillips, both of whom went up against their former team.
“It wasn’t our best, but we made the plays when we needed to make them to win," Belichick said. "Good job. Good job stepping up and making the big plays. We got game balls here — two guys for sure. The ex-Charger — Hunter [Henry], where are you buddy? And AP [Adrian Phillips].
“Alright fellas, we’ll start stringing them together now. Start stringing them together. We emptied the tank today. We’re filling it up tomorrow, start filling it up tomorrow and head down to Carolina. It’s a damn good win. Congratulations.”
