Just around 11 a.m. CT, two Patriots planes arrived in Kansas City ahead of their Week 4 game against the Chiefs.
With kickoff slated for 6:05 p.m. CT, many have wondered what the team is doing for the afternoon?
The players and coaches are headed to a local hotel to rest, have a team meal and then have one final meeting before heading to Arrowhead Stadium. The team will fly home after the game like it normally would and then arrive back at Gillette Stadium a few hours before sunrise Tuesday.
It certainly is not an ideal situation by any means and even more so when the quarterback in the game will not be Cam Newton and in all likelihood will be veteran Brian Hoyer. He has lost his last 10 NFL starts.
Once arriving back in New England, the organization will have to quickly turn the page and focus on the Broncos, who it will host Sunday afternoon.
