What Tedy Bruschi liked most in Patriots' Week 1 win over Dolphins

Things could not have gone much better for the Patriots in their 21-11 win over the Dolphins last Sunday.

Cam Newton looked great in his Patriots debut, the run game was incredibly balanced getting contributions from six players, and the defense did its job.

The only thing was it came against the Dolphins, who aren't considered to be one of the NFL's best, so it's hard to read too much into things.

But, there was one thing that stood out to ESPN's Tedy Bruschi which was impressive no matter who the opponent was.

"What was real and what you can know is going to be there for you every single week is I was just so impressed with the dominance of the interior in terms of [David] Andrews, [Joe] Thuney, [Shaq] Mason, you see Isaiah Wynn out there throwing people around," he said this week on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria. "The offensive line was just great in my opinion in terms of how they ran the football and Cam being able to do the things that he did.

"Just the movement that they are getting. When you're watching from the sideline view and you're watching on TV, and you just see the line of scrimmage move two yards. I think there's real potential in this group. Andrews being back is just great. I think that's real.

Bruschi knows things will be different this week against the Seahawks on the road.

"Seattle, it is a different beast," he aid. "There's a different beast at quarterback, and then Jamal Adams, the way the Seahawks used him in the last game vs. the Falcons. He was everywhere, blitzing off the edge. There's a step up in competition coming up this week."

Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. Sunday night.
