6 rings: behind enemy lines with Will Parkinson
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- Ahead of the Patriots matchup versus the Jets coming up at 1 p.m., the inactive reports have officially hit the wire prior to kickoff. Here's who won't suit up on Sunday:
Patriots inactives:
- CB Jonathan Jones
- OT Sidy Sow
- QB Will Grier (emergency QB)
- OT Tyrone Wheatley
- WR Kayshon Boutte
Will Grier, who the Patriots signed to their 53-man roster on Thursday afternoon, will serve as the team's emergency quarterback on Sunday. While technically inactive for the game, Grier can play if both Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe are ruled out due to injury.
Neither Jonathan Jones (ankle) or Sidy Sow (concussion) traveled with the team to New Jersey on Saturday due to injury and will not play.
For the second consecutive Sunday, sixth-round pick Kayshon Boutte is a healthy scratch.
Jets inactives:
- WR Jason Brownlee
- S Tony Adams
- RB Israel Abanikanda
- CB Bryce Hall
- LB Zaire Barnes
- G Wes Schweitzer
The Jets placed tackle Duane Brown on injured reserve on Saturday with a hip injury. He'll be out a minimum of four games.
Undrafted WR Jason Brownlee, a Hard Knocks sweetheart, will not play.
