Listeners to the Gresh & Keefe program will know that this past Tuesday my co-producer Chris Scheim had car “problems” and did not make it into the studio. He did, however, make it to Fenway Park for Red Sox vs Yankees. This is a simple law of regression: After yet another 0-3 week gamlbing on the podcast, Scheim was blessed with a free ticket to a playoff game. That implies some hard times are headed Mut and my way after we hit consecutive 2-1 weeks.

I will not use this space to point out that I was laughed at on this podcast and on Twitter for picking the Patriots to cover the spread against the Buccaneers.
As far as the Patriots go this week, they’re -8.5 against the Houston Texans and the over/under is set lower than Flo Rida at 39.5 in what the Winners Club gang is dubbing the stay away of the century. The Patriots offensive line is in shambles as Mike Onwenu and Isaiah Wynn remain on the COVID list and David Andrews, Shaq Mason, and Trent Brown continue to deal with injuries. There’s too much unknown in this matchup for anyone to spend their hard-earned dollar on it.
