To say Jermaine Wiggins is optimistic about the Patriots for the 2021 might be a bit of an understatement, as he reminded us on the Greg Hill Show Tuesday morning after soaking in some more Julio Jones-to-the-Patriots buzz.
"I don’t care what you say, if you get Julio Jones you’ve got talent all around the board," the former Patriots tight end said. "Jonnu Smith, the only reason Jonnu Smith didn’t get a lot of targets in Tennessee is because they ran the heck out of the football. We know what Hunter Henry is coming from the Chargers. You kind of know what Nelson Agholor is a little bit, not that he’s a great wide receiver but he’s solid. He’s better that what you had. The kid Kendrick Bourne was pretty decent in San Francisco. You bring back James White. You’ve got Damien Harris now who has another year under his belt. To say this team on paper isn’t arguably the second or third-best team in the AFC when you start to look at comparing them to the rest of the AFC, I think you’re out of your mind."
And then came the ultimate proclamation.
"Fifteen and two if they get Julio," Wiggins said, adding, "You get Julio Jones, man … I’m telling you."
