Patriots legend Willie McGinest was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday, according to TMZ Sports.
TMZ reports that McGinest turned himself in around 7:30 a.m. PT "in connection with an assault that allegedly occurred within the past two weeks." McGinest's bail was set for $30,000.
No further details were immediately available.
McGinest played 12 seasons with the Patriots from 1994-2005, won three Super Bowls during that time, and is a member of the Patriots Hall of Fame.
Since retiring after the 2008 season, McGinest has found a second career as a TV analyst on NFL Network.
