No one from the Patriots can escape the quarterback debate. Doesn’t matter their role, whether or not they’re still with the franchise or, apparently, the setting.

This time, it was Bailey Zappe who addressed the subject — while at a youth football clinic.

“If my opportunity presents itself, I’m going to take full advantage of it,” Zappe said when asked about the idea of getting the chance to compete for New England’s starting QB job, per MassLive. “I’m going to do everything I can to help the team win. That’s really all I can say from that standpoint. That’s Coach (Bill) Belichick’s decision, whatever he decides. But if the opportunity presents itself, I’m going to be ready and take advantage of it.”

New England’s OTAs are just about one month away. That’s a lot of time for this debate to gain more steam.

If only there was a better QB available who the Patriots could’ve brought in to put an end to the debate.
