Zay Flowers’ new home could very well be just a few miles from where he spent his college days.
In preparation for this year’s NFL Draft, the Patriots just met with the former Boston College wide receiver, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. As part of his meeting with New England, Flowers got to “to spend the day learning the offense with Bill O’Brien on his visit.”
This isn’t Flowers’ first experience with the Patriots, either. They worked with him in the East-West Shrine Game, and members of their staff attended his BC Pro Day.
The first BC wide receiver to be named an All-American since 1984, Flowers is expected to be taken somewhere in the first round. And if the Patriots don’t take him at 14, there’s at least one other team interested in him later in the draft. Pelissero has previously reported Flowers met with the Raiders and Cowboys. Vegas has the seventh pick in the draft and Dallas the 26th.
