In episode four, Jeter opened up about his feelings when the Yankees blew their 3-0 series lead. “It’s misery,” he said. “Sick to my stomach.”
As we know, the Red Sox swept the Cardinals in the World Series after rallying against the Yankees. At the victory parade, Manny Ramirez held up a sign on the duck boat that taunted Jeter.
“Jeter is playing golf today, this is better,” the sign read.
Manny’s ribbing poked Jeter where it hurt.
“Someone had sent it to me,” said Jeter. “So yeah, that made me sick.”
