No. 19 wasn't an option, so Jackie Bradley Jr. got creative.
While trying to pick a number to wear in his new Milwaukee Brewers uniform, the former Red Sox was faced with somewhat of a dilemma. The digits he had lived with throughout his time in Boston were the very same worn by Brewers legend -- and two-time MVP -- Robin Yount.
So now? It's No. 41.
Just to spice things up a little bit before actually donning the new uniform, Bradley Jr. threw out somewhat of a riddle to his Twitter followers, asking them to uncover the reason for his choice.
Sure enough, somebody came through with the correct answer: It was all about his young family.
There is already a new member of the Red Sox wearing No. 19, with pitcher Hirokazu Sawamura taking over the number. The two Sox players to don the digits before Bradley Jr. were Koji Uehara and Josh Beckett.
