The Red Sox have supplied the 107-loss Orioles with arguably the two highlights of their 2021 season.
The first came with a season-opening three-game sweep of the Red Sox in April. Then, more than five months later, the O's took two of three vs. the Sox to put a serious dent in Boston's quest for a postseason spot.
All of it reminded many of one of the more notable Baltimore triumphs over the Red Sox -- when Robert Andino's walk-off single on Sept. 28, 2011 punctuated that Sox team's historic collapse.
Well, thanks to the Orioles' Twitter account, the American League East's last-place team was able to tie all of their Baltimore-induced Red Sox misery together.
After the Orioles' 6-2 win over the Red Sox Thursday night, the O's were quick to change their social media avatar. The image of Andino was back.
