David Ortiz has made peace with Alex Rodriguez, as was evident during the duo's time together on FOX Sports' baseball broadcasts.
But don't expect Jason Varitek to follow in the same path of his former teammate.
Varitek and Rodriguez have not spoken since the two got into their 2004 brouhaha on the Fenway Park field. It's a trend that doesn't seem to be changing any time soon, with Ortiz evidently not even able to manage a truce.
"I'm scared," said Ortiz on the Merloni and Fauria Show when asked about if he has tried to convince Varitek to talk with Rodriguez. "I don't want Tek to give me an ass-whooping."
