Red Sox announce two coaches won't be returning for 2021

It appears while there will be a new manager, the rest of the Red Sox coaching staff will keep quite a few of the same pieces for 2021.

The team announced Monday that it was not renewing the contracts of just two of the 2020 coaches -- bench coach Jerry Narron and bullpen coach Craig Bjornson.

The rest of the coaching staff -- pitching coach Dave Bush, assistant pitching coach Kevin Walker, hitting coach Tim Hyers, assistant hitting coach Peter Fatse, first base coach Tom Goodwin, third base coach Carlos Febles, catching instructor Jason Varitek and coach Ramon Vazquez -- have all been invited to return for 2021.

Narron was brought on by former manager Ron Roenicke prior to the 2020 season, with the pair having previously worked together in Milwaukee.

Bjornson joined the Red Sox prior to 2018, coming over from Houston along with former Sox manager Alex Cora.

The Red Sox are currently in the process of identifying candidates for their managing position.
