LOS ANGELES - The Red Sox evidently like high-end middle infielders when it comes to picking their first-round selections.
In 2020, it was Nick Yorke. Last year the Sox took Marcelo Mayer fourth overall. And Sunday the Red Sox made Mikey Romero, a shortstop out of Orange Lutheran (CA) High, with the 24th overall pick in this year's Major League Baseball Draft.
