We seem to be coming down to the finish line in the Red Sox' search for their next manager.
While most in the industry still believe Cora has the upper-hand when it comes to becoming the next Red Sox manager, Fuld has emerged as an intriguing option for Chaim Bloom.
The 38-year-old is a New England native who has a relationship with Bloom from playing with the Rays for three seasons. While Fuld doesn't have any coaching or managing experience, his expertise in the analytical side of things -- a skill-set he has used while working in the Phillies' front office the past three seasons -- is considered of great value.
