If you haven’t already, you might want to get to know the name Ceddanne Rafaela. Now a member of the Portland Sea Dogs, the Red Sox outfield prospect will represent the organization in the 2022 Futures All-Star Game.
The 21-year-old started 2022 with High-A Greenville, and he posted a .962 OPS with 17 doubles, nine home runs, four triples and 14 stolen bases in 45 games. In his 23 games at Double-A, Rafaela has a .911 OPS with six home runs, five doubles, two triples and three stolen bases.
Rafaela is listed as Boston’s No. 27 prospect by MLB.com and No. 22 by Baseball America. However, he is Soxprospects.com’s No. 8 prospect.
