Ryan Brasier has found a new home.
The 35-year-old pitcher - who was released by the Red Sox on May 21 - confirmed to WEEI.com that he has signed a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Brasier had been with the Red Sox since 2018, playing a key role in the team's run through that '18 postseason run. He pitched at Dodger Stadium in Game 3 of that season's World Series, marking the only time he has pitched in the Dodgers' home park.
After finishing 2022 as one of the Red Sox' most effective relievers, Brasier struggled for much of 2023, totaling a 7.29 ERA in 20 appearances.
Over the course of his Red Sox career, Brasier pitched in 222 regular season games, totaling 20 saves while allowing opponents a .249 batting average and .715 OPS. During that run, the righty pitched in 16 postseason games, managing a 3.55 ERA and .735 OPS against.
Despite residing in first-place in the National League West, the Dodgers bullpen has struggled somewhat, residing with the sixth-worst batting average against (.246) in the majors, and fifth-worst OPS (.738). The group has also given up the fifth-most hits.
