You might want to take work off on April 15. As it turns out, there is something of note happening in the middle of the day.
Appearing on the Greg Hill Show Friday morning, Red Sox team president Sam Kennedy announced that his team's home opener will be on April 15 against the Twins, with first pitch being switched to 2 p.m.
The day will also be a celebration of Jackie Robinson throughout Major League Baseball.
Kennedy also announced that the Red Sox will continue their program of selling $9 seats to fans in middle school, high school and college.
