Ranking the prospects involved in all these Deadline deals
Getting to return to the site where it all began - the Major League park where that first demo tape was cut to start a big league broadcasting journey - is cool enough. But then there was Sunday.
For Will Flemming, that was next-level.
One of the voices of the Red Sox broadcast, Flemming was afforded the opportunity to call an inning at Oracle Park with his older brother, Dave, who has been the Giants' play-by-play man for more than 21 years.
For only the second time in the brothers' careers, and the first time since 2019, the Flemming brothers used the fourth inning of the Red Sox' game against the Giants to join forces for a shared call of a major league game.
While the pair were executing their memorable moment - which was being listened to intently by their parents, Mike and Carter Flemming, back in Alexandria, Virginia - their respective broadcast partners also switched partners. Longtime Giants announcer Jon Miller (who once called Red Sox games, as well), teamed up with Lou Merloni in the visitors broadcast booth.
