Ryan Weber's time with the Red Sox has come to end.
The Brewers claimed Weber, who was designated for assignment Monday after giving up 11 runs over 5 2/3 innings in relief in his only appearance with the Red Sox this season.
The 30-year-old Weber pitched in 36 games for the Red Sox over three seasons, making eight starts.
The righty made such a positive impression throughout the 2020 spring training that he entered the abbreviated season as the Sox' No. 2 starter. But after struggling the role he was moved to the bullpen.
His Red Sox career included a 3-7 record and 5.54 ERA, with the Red Sox going 13-23 in games he pitched.
