Willson Contreras has now gone two-for-two in games being ejected from during this Red Sox series against the Nationals.
After being tossed from Monday night's contest for what was perceived as mocking umpire Nic Lentz following an appeal of a checked swing, Contreras was sent to the showers early Tuesday for his involvement in a bench-clearing fracas between the Nats and Sox.
After striking out against Cade Cavalli, Contreras started shouting out toward the Nationals' starter, seemingly in response to something that was said by the hurler. After taking a few steps toward Cavalli, both benches cleared with the Red Sox' first baseman ultimately throwing his helmet in the direction of the pitcher.

Contreras was ultimately restrained by teammates, although Washington pitcher Miles Mikolas and the Red Sox's Nate Eaton engaged in a brief tussle while order was being restored.
Along with Contreras, Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy, Eaton and Mikolas were all thrown out of the game.
